Since 2007, when Assassin’s Creed first hit our shelves, its series has produced some truly memorable titles such as II Brotherhood Revelations Odyssey.

One other entry from Ubisoft’s series that stands out is 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Personally, Black Flag remains my go-to game from their Ubisoft catalogue.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag had it all – from Edward Kenway as its charismatic protagonist, through fun combat and stealth mechanics, the thrilling experience of living life as a pirate, the fantasy life on open seas to stunning visuals that still look beautiful when playing it on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. These factors give fans reason to hope there might be truth to Black Flag remake rumours.

Fallout fans have initiated a petition drive in memory of Mitten Squad to include him in Fallout 5

“In 1715, pirates rule the Caribbean and have established their own lawless Republic where corruption, greediness and cruelty reign supreme. Amidst these outlaws is Edward Kenway – an audacious young captain with no regard for law.” Reads a description of this game.

Redditors on Reddit continue to express their love of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag all these years later. “[Black Flag] still holds up so well despite not offering Bethesda RPG-level detail – yet its gameplay remains nonstop perfect with various combinations such as great combat feels, parkour-type activities and activities that keep players busy,” wrote Redditor kallenl8.

“What gives? There is more character development here than in Valhalla; Blackbeard was brilliantly depicted — one of my all-time favourite portrayals ever — and its plotline fits beautifully within its setting,” responded Inspector-Remarkable. While I won’t say the storyline is flawless – perhaps due to an abrupt ending perhaps – but certainly I wouldn’t describe it as lackluster; old AC games remain favorites of mine!”

“Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was my only Assassin’s Creed game that I played twice; darnit, I may go in for more!” fucklebrother stated. Rissay_mn claimed it to have the best soundtrack among its games in general.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has officially released for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo platforms.
