Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver deserves to see an updated remake.
What has Nosgoth become of the Legacy of Kain series? Almost twenty years have passed since Defiance was released – that game being Legacy of Kain: Defiance in 2003.
This vampiric series began its journey on PlayStation in 1996 before transitioning to PC in 1997. Four sequels followed over time; Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver became perhaps its pinnacle release.
Fans have long requested the return of this beloved series since its last entry was released almost 25 years ago, and we agree. A year ago, developer Crystal Dynamics asked fans if they’d be open to its return in an online questionnaire sent after Embracer Group acquired Square Enix Europe properties for $300 million, including Crystal Dynamics as a current developer for Tomb Raider.
Redditors were discussing Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver when user Kraydful made an outlandish claim about its opening sequence being one of the greatest ever seen, sparking calls among fans for a remake.
